The smallest flicker of a flame dispels the deepest darkness. The most intense darkness cannot hide even the smallest light. Religious leader Robert D. Hales said, “Light and darkness cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Light dispels darkness. When light is present, darkness is vanquished and must depart. More important, darkness cannot conquer light unless the light is diminished or departs.”
The world has been through a lot of dark times recently, and there’s no question that it has been difficult and discouraging at times. That’s why we are starting the Rise Up campaign. We are excited to highlight stories of people who are rising up, sharing light, and uniting together in this dark time.
COVID-19 has affected all of us, but it has also strengthened us. So many people have risen up in this challenging time. We want to share those stories.
We invite you to join with us in sharing these stories. Share your own rise up story on social media and include the hashtag #riseupstories. By sharing our stories and reflecting on our past conquests of the year, we will be able to encourage and inspire each other as we face new challenges.
Everyone has their own story. Your stories are as beautiful and glorious as each sunrise. Every sunrise is different. Every sunrise is beautiful. Every sunrise is necessary. And every story is unique and essential to help us rise up above these challenges.
